Williamsburg: Though the beloved Pies 'n' Thighs wasn't able to make it work in the seemingly impossible space that was the small kitchen attached to Williamsburg's Rock Star Bar, someone else is. Pies 'n' Thighs had to vacate their cramped and messy kitchen after the DOH dropped the hammer back in January, and they are now embroiled in some DOB ordeals with their new location.
But the folks at Rock Star Bar knew a good opportunity when they saw one (and are probably missing all that business brought in by P'n'T). They're now serving a menu of sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and burritos. Makes you wonder why the pulled pork sandwiches had to leave in the first place—perhaps the smoker and heavy duty frying equipment had something to do with it. Unless this was Rock Star Bar's plan all along.
