    1) Chelsea/Hell’s Kitchen: This one’s interesting. The owners of Lugo Menswear are expanding their brand into an Italian restaurant called Lugo Caffe, reportedly opening this week according to NYMag. Here’s the story: “The 150-seat spot has replaced their previous foray into food, Tupelo Grill, but chef Greg Lombardi has stayed on to convert the steaks-and-chops menu into one that celebrates, as the newly installed sign over the bar advertises, la dolce vita. Selections now include fried artichokes with lemon aïoli, the increasingly popular clam pizza...plus such steakhouse vestiges as the New York strip and a $72 porterhouse “Fiorentina” for two."     2) Midtown East: Both Thrillist and NYMag report today on the opening of Naya, a new contemporary Lebanese restaurant in Midtown East/Turtle Bay. The former’s colorful description: “The NY debut from an accomplished Lebanese chef, Naya's a futuristic-chic white sleeve centered around a long wooden runway dissecting twin rows of hyper-intimate, well-illuminated two-tops -- basically, the dining version of A Clockwork Orange's 'Ludovico Technique'...” Status: Certified Soft-Open.     3) East Village: NYMag also lists a short blurb on the opening of Bistrouge. The details are minimal but include: “Erstwhile investment banker turned restaurateur Eda Kilic has opened Bistrouge, with a Mediterranean menu and cocktails by Shige of Angel’s Share.” Status: Certified Open. 432 E. 13th Street; 212-677-2200.
