Greenpoint's Five Leaves has only been open for a week and already they're closed for renos. Per a correspondent: "Wednesday night there was a sign in the window of Five Leaves that they were closed until Friday morning for a kitchen renovation. That seemed unlikely but sure enough it turns out there's a bigger hood being installed and some other rearranging inside. It's not DOH, it's not permits, it's not 'no gas' or whatever. The sign promising a Friday a.m. reopen isn't on the door anymore but at least we know the reopen is pending these upgrades..." File this one under: not a good sign. [EaterWire]
