We are creeping ever closer to the moment that will change the Upper West Side forever. As the above exclusive plywood shots show, the construction effort on the the forthcoming Shake Shack at Columbus and 77th is truly gearing up for the projected October opening.
It looks like the Shack team is trying to retain as much of the theme of their downtown joint as possible. The same silver signage that wraps around the Madison Sq. Park Shack can be found spanning the brick columns here, and those large angled windows with the trees in view almost evoke the feeling of a park. Of course, there's a lot more room the work with here so we're expecting Danny Meyer and his USHG team have a few more tricks up their sleeves, especially, we hope, when it comes to that downstairs dining room/private room. As the opening date approaches, the team won't be so tight-lipped with the details and specifics, so stay glued to the set for more.
