Cafe des Artistes' Possible Comeback, More!

Bungalow 8: Really still open, via Eater

advertisement

1) UWS: Upper West Side institution Cafe des Artistes closed this summer, but the building's owner says that there are several investors and restauranteurs interested in reopening the place. The only snag? The union that represented the restaurant's workers has a right to retain its contract with the new operators.

2) Chelsea: Yet another round of rumors of Bungalow 8's closure began this week, but Amy Sacco says Bungalow 8 is not dead yet! It's just renovating.

3) UES: Daniel Boulud's joint venture with the Surrey Hotel, Bar Pleiades, is now open (as is his renovated Cafe Boulud). On the menu: "global" cocktails.
