EaterWire: Vesuvio's Reopening Plans, Tina Fey at Shake Shack, Achatz Talk

SOHO— Soho may have fresh bagels once again: "Vesuvio Bakery, the historic landmark in SoHo that’s been closed four months, will reopen hopefully before Christmas, owner Andrew Veniopoulos told Urbanite....'There’s only one guy in the whole city who can do it, so we’re kind of at his mercy,' he said." [Urbanite]

UPPER WEST SIDE— Spotted, some hometown celebs at the newly opened Shake Shack. From a reader report: "...still some kinks to be worked out...but nice, efficient staff and the line wasn’t terrible (around 2pm)...downstairs has very little charm but Tina Fey (with child) and Fred Armisen were there." ACHATZ— Grant Achatz fans will be able to catch him before his book party/tasting at Astor Center on November 6. He'll be speaking at the Idea Conference on October 30 at Terminal 5. [EaterWire]For more stories from Eater, go to eater.com.
