DUMBO— The Brooklyn Paper's Gersh Kuntzman gets a little drunk on burgers at Friday's Burger Bash and points out a fact we didn't notice before: "As a Brooklynite, I'm absolutely appalled that 67 Burger has been shunted out basically to the very corner of the Tobacco Warehouse, they haven't even given them a sign!" PRICE HIKESWall Street might be taking a beating this month, but for restaurants and diners, the mainstream impact might not be felt until next year: "Restaurants, now working to secure supply and price contracts for meat and other commodities for the upcoming year, are expecting big increases in food costs — increases that will likely lead to menu changes and price hikes." Furthermore, experts are calling it "the most challenging environment for restaurant operators regarding food price inflation on the wholesale level for almost 30 years."
