EaterWire: MomoChanges, LA Hispter Ice Cream Truck, Delicatessen Fires Toque, More More More!

EAST VILLAGE—You didn't think the day was going to pass sans ChangWire, did you? Nopeski. At Momofuku Noodle Bar, the walls are now adorned with chalkboard menus. According to people who know people, the plan is to separate the Noodle Bar menu in at least two, the casual fare of the current menu thrown alongside a changing prix fixe of sorts. These new boards, installed in the last week or two, have something to do with the plan, apparently. No word of timing on the debut of the new menu yet. [EaterWire]

WEST VILLAGE—Via their PR mouthpiece comes word that Mama's Mudsliders, "the retro-American dessert bar in the West Village," has just gotten a wine & beer license. To celebrate, VALUE ALERT, all American wine and beer will be half-price tonight from 4pm to 8pm. (As a reference: regular wines by the glass are $8-13, the celebratory half price is $4-6.50 - only good today from 4pm to 8pm.) [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE—Via Caroline McCarthy: "The Heartschallenger truck! For those of you who aren’t familiar, this is L.A.’s hipster ice cream truck. It’s currently made a trip to the East Coast and is on the corner of 1st Avenue and St. Mark’s. I ordered a strawberry shortcake and they gave me a CD sampler and a free sticker, too." [Tumblr/caro]

SOHO—Via GS: "It looks like Michael Ferraro, the toque who was in, and then very quickly out, at Fresh, has landed on his feet. According to a Delicatessen rep, “Michael will put his own stamp on the Delicatessen menu by integrating international comfort classics from his Italian roots and classical French training.“ [GS]

MIDTOWN WEST—And now we'll send you out to your weekend with a little Right This Second, straight from Gavin Kaysen, executive chef of Cafe Boulud, 5:45 PM: "Just got done prepping for my demo at Gourmet Institute with DB." [Right This Second]For more stories from Eater, go to eater.com.
