EaterWire: Freeman's New Menu, Craftsteak's Election Party, James Brunch, and More

LOWER EAST SIDEMichael Citarella, the chef to replace Jean Adamson at Freeman's, has finally released his new menu and a new cocktail list. CHELSEA— Craftsteak is hosting a little election night party. They'll have their two flat screen TVs in the lounge/bar tuned in to the coverage and will serve: "a lotta 'all American' dishes (fried mac ‘n cheese, deviled eggs, chicken wings, etc.)" along with Colicchio's Burger Bash burger. PROSPECT HEIGHTS— Prospect Heights darling James is now serving brunch, starting this Sunday. Entrees run $11 - 18 and include Spinach Salad with Smoked Quail Eggs, crab cakes, steak and eggs, crepes, and brioche french toast. [EaterWire]

NOHOPeter Hoffman of Savoy is pairing up with Rick Bayless and three other chefs to throw a dinner and auction fundraiser at the Astor Center on Nov. 10. The dinner is five courses and runs you $250, but they're auctioning off a trip to the Galapagos, dinner for four with Michael Pollan and Peter Hoffman at Savoy, and dinner for four at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. SOHODa Silvano's "super sexy staff" is getting a new uniform from closing line ISAIA. Not incredibly noteworthy, but we like this part of the pitch: "Silvano shares his good taste with Matt Damon, who wore ISAIA suiting to his Bourne Ultimatum premieres, Jake Gyllenhall to his Rendition premieres, Peter Parker himself(Toby Mcguire) in the Spiderman films and of course, native New Yorker Chazz Palmintieri..."
