Damon: Frugal Friday to Open 6 Nights a Week

Bless you, recession! Tom Colicchio's genius budget pop-up restaurant will now run (almost) all week long

If you've been to Damon: Frugal Friday at Craft, you know that the small-plates bonanza from Tom Colicchio protégé Damon Wise is eight kinds of genius: pork croquettes, crispy sardines, smoked beef tartare -- and those are just the $5 dishes we encountered.

If you haven't been to Damon: Frugal Friday, you're about to get very lucky: the pop-up restaurant-slash-recession experiment has been such a success, it's expanding to run every night except Tuesdays, according to Eater. Also, there'll be brunch on the weekends. The new schedule starts next Monday, and the name will shrink to DFF. Because in these recessionary times, who can afford to waste all those extra letters?

Feast your eyes on a full menu at Grub Street -- but remember, the dishes change often. Which is part of the fun.
