The Full Hanson is famous for his phone system, which networks his thousands of restaurants together and allows reservationists to identify valued customers and non-valued customers alike based on the number from which they're calling. If one calls from a private number, in fact, the first question for the caller is, What is your phone number? The system, in fairness used by many restaurateurs, is also somewhat effective at flagging critics. Curiously, Corton, Drew Nieporent's new four-star-aspiring outfit, is rejecting calls from blocked numbers, this a fact we just discovered by giving the joint a ring. Do we gots a clerical error at Verizon here, or has Drewski added a layer of security during critics' hunting season? [EaterWire]
