BruniBetting: Kanoyama/Sushi Azabu

Tomorrow, Frank Bruni files a sushi twofer on Kanoyama and Sushi Azabu, new East Village and Tribeca sushi joints, respectively. Today, the Eater oddsmakers have set the action as follows:

Kanoyama
Zero Stars: 3-1
One Star: 2-1 √√
Two Stars: 8-1
Three Stars: 80-1
Four Stars: 25,000-1

SUSHI AZABU
Zero Stars: 6-1
One Star: 3-1
Two Stars: 4-1 √√
Three Stars: 25-1
Four Stars: 25,000-1

The Bruni loves the sushi twofer. Loves. He did it once before, on 15 East and Ushiwakamaru, which he gave two and one stars. What is for near-certain is that these restaurants will have a one star differential between them and Azabu will be the higher rated. What is much less clear is if we're looking at a two-one or a one-zero. The buzz on Azabu is excellent — Chowhound, The Sun, and TONY — and in sum it leads us to believe on this day the restaurant will get two stars. Also supporting this case is the fact that the only thing the Bruni likes more than a twofer is a two star review that puts a restaurant on the map, and with Azabu, a sushi restuarant located in the basement of another restaurant, he would be doing the very thing. Anyway, bet as you wish, the one-zero scenario ain't a bad bet either.
