But here comes news that hubby-wife duo Susan Povich (daughter of Maury, FYI) and Ralph Gorham are turning a storefront at 284 Van Brunt Street into the Red Hook Lobster Pound. With lobster tanks. Best part: they’ll be driving to Maine every weekend to buy the tasty little bugs directly off a Down East fishing boat.
In authentic lobster pound fashion, the establishment won’t be a full-on restaurant, but it will be possible to have your purchase steamed to order. Brownstoner has the goods on the joint, tentatively slated for an April 24th debut.
