In addition to the East Village outpost of Baoguette announced in this week's issue, a West Village location (along with a pho bar) will open in the Mama's Mudsliders space in mid-April, says the Feed.

It's not the only "banh mini-chain" coming -- we hear that Angelo Sosa's Asian-inspired sandwich and street-eats shop, now being called Xie Xie, will open a location at Ninth Avenue and 45th Street in about a month, followed by the St. Marks outpost we told you about earlier.

Plus Time Out's latest issue brings details of a new banh mi operation in Williamsburg -- Nha Toi will bring a peacemaker of sorts, the "Pho Banh Mi" to Havermeyer Street. And let's not forget the mysterious banh mi shop coming to Bedford Avenue (still under construction when we passed by last night).

Add all this to recently opened Num Pang, An Choi, Seoul Station, Hanco's, and the rest of them, and you've got a veritable explosion of meat, bread, and mayo! Wait, that sounds messy ...
