Women's Wear has the first look at Almond, the newest project to make an attempt to best the demons of 12 East 22nd Street (previously Borough Food & Drink, Rocco's and oh so many more). Optimistic co-owner Eric Lemonides isn't worried about opening into this economic albatross: "In these uncertain times, people do want to go out...There’s nothing better when you’ve had a really crappy week than to have a roast chicken that’s awesome and a glass of red wine and call it a day.” Jeffrey Chodorow, besides having leased Lemonides and co-owner Jason Weiner the space, is involved as an investor.
