The Scissor Sisters play Terminal 5 tonight.

CUT IT: Glam pop has consistently played better overseas than here in the U.S.--which makes Lady Gaga’s success so heartening—but the Scissor Sisters have still cultivated a fervent following (and their songs, we’d argue, are better anyway). Jake Shears et. al. rock Terminal 5 tonight with the second of two live shows. 8PM.

HYBRID: (Le) Poisson Rouge describes cult band Stereo Total’s sound as “40% Yéyétronic, 20% R'n'R, 10% Punkrock, 3% electronic effects, 4% French 60ies beat, 7% genius dilettantism, 1,5% Cosmonaute, 10% really old synthesizers, 10% 8-bit Amiga-sampling, 10% transistor amplifier, 1% really expansive and advanced instruments.” Whether that does or doesn’t add up to 100 is truly beside the point; why would you ever miss the chance to see these guys live? Plus, Les Sans Culottes are on the opening bill. 8PM.

SHORE THING: What do you do when your venture is named best new restaurant in an eating city like Philadelphia? You come and cook a seasonal seafood feast at the James Beard House. Mike Stollenwerk of Philly’s Fish turns local ingredients into things like white corn chili-lobster waffles and octopus carpaccio. Yes, please. 7PM.
