SUMMER TUNES: Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward—aka She & Him—recently released their sophomore effort Volume Two, which reminded us how much we miss simple vocal harmonies layered over spare arrangements, and officially cemented Deschanel’s reputation as the Swiss army knife of indie chicks. SPANISH FLIGHT: As daredevil Spaniards prepare to (attempt to) outrun the bulls halfway around the world, celebrate San Fermin far from the danger of goring at La Fonda del Sol on Park: From July 6 through 14, they’ll have the TV tuned to the Pamplona bull runs, with a themed tapas menu (bull’s-tail sliders!) and drinks in accompaniment.
