    TIPPLE: Here’s a tip: Start coughing in front of your boss now, so when you call in sick tomorrow – after spending the night tasting 25 (!) specialty cocktails created by NYC’s greatest cocktail gurus at the NYC Master Mixologist Mix-Off – no-one will suspect you’re really nursing the Great Hangover of 2010.     SOUNDS LIKE SUMMER: Gilberto Gil could stay home and put his feet up – the award-winning Brazilian musician has been doing his thing since the 1960s, with 30+ albums under his belt. But no: he brings his particular bossa nova/tropicalia blend to the Nokia for The String Concert with collaborator Jaques Morelenbaum and his son Bem. 7PM. 

    ON POINTE: The Lyon Opera Ballet is back at the Joyce with a critically lauded program of contemporary dance pieces by William Forsythe, Maguy Marin and Merce Cunningham, whose intricate “Beach Birds” will have you itching to throw off the shackles of winter. Through March 14, times vary.
