2/9: Cocktail All-Stars' Old Shanghai

Master mixologists pour at this retro-flavored soiree

TIPPLE: Mixologist extraordinaire Eben Freeman squires his talented team of shaker purveyors around town this week in the Cocktail All-Stars Fest. Tonight: a retro-Shanghai pairing at Madam Geneva with “Old Shanghai on the Bowery,” where you’ll wash culturally-appropriate fare down with sippables by talent from Death & Co., S.F.’s Heaven’s Dog and others.

DATE NIGHT: SNL and Upright Citizens Brigade scribe Julie Klausner grew up in Scarsdale and has dated everywhere from the Bronx to the LES, so the horror stories she recounts in her new memoir “I Don’t Care About Your Band: What I Learned From Indie Rockers, Trust Funders, Pornographers, Faux Sensitive Hipsters, Felons and Other Guys I’ve Dated” are not only funny, they’re also very New York. She reads and signs the book at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble at 7PM.

AGE OF INNOCENCE: IRM, Charlotte Gainsbourg’s collab with Beck, is on repeat on many an iPod these days, so it’s no surprise that FIAF has dedicated two months of CinemaTuedays to a retrospective with Charlotte Forever. Tonight, she’s the teen objet de lust of a much older man (Yvan Attal) in Jacques Doillon’s touching 1992 coming-of-age tale “Amoureuse” (“Lover”). 7:30PM.
