For this year’s theme, Have a Foodie Holiday, Simon Doonan fêtes 70 food luminaries (Bastianich! Oliver! PULP: Light Industry curates a double feature from ballsy “grindhouse auteur” Stephanie Rothman, whose films lured in 1970s moviegoers with pulpy sex and violence before serving up a radical political agenda. (Re)discover Rothman with The Student Nurses (1970)—which starts out exactly as you might expect something with that porny of a title might—before tackling issues like abortion and euthanasia.
