Wednesday's Winners and Losers

The Winners
- Doo Ri: Taking a turn for dark glam seems to be suiting the designers at this label just fine, since the folks at WWD raved about their "twisting and tucking skills," as well as their bedazzled lace stockings.
- Marchesa: It was one of the most sought-after tickets in town (especially considering the Oscars are this weekend!), and Georgina Chapman didn't disappoint, showing one ridiculously glamorous, dreamy dress after another. It was enough to make WWD write: "Brava to Georgina Chapman."
- Oscar de la Renta: Returning to the age of old-school glamour and sophistication (a.k.a. the old Oscar, some were saying, Oscar hit the nail on the head with jet-set looks and sky-high hair.

The Losers
- Michael Kors: Were we the only ones who thought neon fur coats seemed a little bit much, considering the current climate?
- Phillip Lim: For the first time, the normally pitch-perfect designer perhaps had an overly "stylized hand"—adding lots of retro-thematic elements that at times even looked costume-y. Well, at least he gave out Christmas bonuses last year.
- PETA: Sending an army of rabbits to storm Armani seems a bit ... desperate. If you have Miz J challenging you over a chinchilla scarf, you know you're not really looking so tough.
