Agyness Deyn goofs around at the 5th Anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
Fashionologie reports and we confirm: Agyness Deyn is officially "annoying," at least as far as the BBC is concerned.
The Lancashire-born model apparently beat out (seriously stiff) competition from the likes of Peaches Geldof to nab the "most annoying" person of 2008 prize awarded by BBC Three's celebrity review on the telly—and worst of all, her hometown newspaper is reporting the hell out of it.
The story's chock full of fun Deyn facts like how she used to work in a chip shop (imagine if there was a uniform somehow involved! It's to die!) and recorded a pop sing with Five O'Clock Heroes. All of which is pretty annoying. Cap that off with the fact that she's apparently engaged to the guitarist for The Strokes (double ugh) and her presence absolutely everywhere (BBC TV presenter Michelle De Swarte apparently said, "She is just everywhere, you can’t get away from her") and you've got some seriously annoying material on your hands. And that blond pixie cut and impish grin! How was it so bewitching a year ago, and so irritating now? Sigh.
All that said, mayor of Rossdale leapt to her defense, having known her when she was younger, saying of the Deyns: "The whole family were really nice people. I wouldn't describe them as annoying at all." Well, whose word are you going to take?
