Belle de Jour

Belle de Jour's Catherine Deneuve wonders if there's more to life than marriage and good tailoring.

NEWLYWED GAME: Poor Catherine Deneuve: It’s hard being a gorgeous, upper-middle class new bride with a killer wardrobe in 1960s Paris. The boredom! Turning tricks may or may not ease her ennui in Luis Buñuel’s classic "Belle de Jour," screening at the French Institute Alliance Francaise, 7:30PM.

I SPY: It’s a scavenger hunt! It’s a walking tour! Well, it’s a bit of both, with a little "Clue" thrown in: For the Tenement Museum’s "Murder Mystery Night: An Interactive Theatrical Experience," crawl the Lower East Side with actor Carlo d’Amore as you hunt for clues to solve a faux murder – soaking up the neighborhood’s history along the way. 6:30PM.

MELLOW: As Steve and Eydie Gorme proved with their unique cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” nearly everything recorded loud and screamy sounds fantastic revisited lounge style. Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine run tunes from Metallica, Green Day and more through a Vegas filter at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, 8PM.
