Tonight We're “Rockin' for Rockaway” With an All-Star Lineup

Tonight, FriendsofRockaway.org and The Fest for Beatles Fans are bringing New Yorkers and rock legends together for the jam sesh of the year, a music benefit supporting Rockaway Park, New York. It was just a couple short months ago when Sandy tore through the Tri-State area and the Rockaways is still recovering from the superstorm.

The rocking musical lineup is one to remember, with legends Mark Hudson (singer/songwriter and Producer for Ringo Starr, Aerosmith), Steve Holley (drummer for Paul McCartney’s WINGS, Elton John, Joe Cocker) along with John Merjave (Liverpool) and Glen Burtnik (Styx, The Orchestra, Liverpool) coming together after several years to jam in support of the beach town. The opening set will be by NYC's very own Maddy Wyatt with her band WYATT, comprised of her brothers Paul and Alex Wyatt, bassist Zach Lane, and keyboardist Dana Haynes..

"Rockin' For Rockaway" is a music-filled, open bar event at Hudson Terrace. And, it's happening tonight! Let's help rebuild this town.

Tickets start at $40 for general admission in advance ($50 at the door) and range to $165 for private cabana with bottle service. 100 percent of net proceeds will go directly to FriendsofRockaway.org. This event is spearheaded by organizers Michelle Joni Lapidos, Michelle Nakash and Patrick Luis Matamoros. For tickets and more info, visit the website.

FriendsofRockaway.org is an organization started by Rockaway natives to rebuild Rockaway Park, New York, after Hurrican Sandy left many without homes and destroyed their neighborhoods and beaches.
