Take a Bow: Competition to Find Best Gift-wrapper

We'll be busy at the taping of the WNBC Christmas sing-a-long, but if you like your holiday cheer with a wee bit of competition, come on over to 30 Rock Friday morning.

Four "gift-wrapping amateurs" will be taking on four professionals in the Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper Contest being held at Cucina & Co. in the concourse here at 30 Rockefeller Center.

Shauletta Baptiste, an employee at Kate's Paperie downtown, will be representing New York City in the competition, which challenges the entrants to gift wrap odd-shaped items such as a mini sailboat and a bicycle.

From the press release: "No bow will be left untied as these gift-wrapping gurus battle for a $10,000 cash prize."

Ten grand certainly makes for a merry Christmas.

Last year's winner,  Alton Dulaney (above), won by wrapping, among other things, a piano and a set of golf clubs.
