On Halloween Eve, you can finally see 1975’s filthy-minded cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” as it was meant to be seen: At a high-end, members-only table tennis social club-cum-nightspot with a $60,000 ping-pong table. (With a glass net.)
Scratch that: You don’t have to be a club member to join in the festivities at the just-opened SPiN club on Friday night, where they’re hosting the mother of all “Rocky Horror” screenings as part of their Day Before Halloween Party. Why is it the mother? The event is hosted by Susan Sarandon herself, a.k.a. “Dammit” Janet Weiss, and you just know she’s going to be in costume, because she’s awesome like that. Also on tap: a “Time Warp” sing-a-long, a pro table tennis theatrical exhibition, and general "RH"-inspired mayhem. Costumes are strongly recommended – may we suggest going as a sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania?
