"Mad Men" returns with a Times Square viewing party

SLIGHTLY “MAD”: The “Mad Men” season-three premiere anticipation has reached fever pitch – after all the hype, are you really just going to sit and watch it from your couch? Come out to Times Square, where the show will screen after a “Mad Men”-themed costume contest (get that sharkskin suit to the cleaners). Sunday, 8PM

JUNGLE LOVE: Animal Collective is aptly named: the band’s genre affinities are decidedly un-pin-downable – folky here, thumpy and tribal there -- which is why they’re so much fun. Also because they put on a really ferocious live show. Catch them at the Prospect Park Bandshell, Saturday, 5:30PM.

BLOC PARTY: If only every day was a Summer Streets Saturday: For the second week in a row (out of three total), nearly seven miles of ordinarily auto-choked asphalt will be closed to cars, drawing pedestrians out to stroll in the sunshine. Saturday, 7AM-1PM.

EXTRA VIRGIN: The Material Girl turns 51 on Sunday – clearly, this calls for a party. But to call the 8th Annual Madonnathon Birthday Celebration a “party” would be an understatement of epic proportions: More than 20 Madonna-likes will perform at this Madgestravaganza, and if you show up in Ciccone costume, you’ll get invited up on stage, too. B.B. King’s, Sunday, 8PM.

FED UP: See the Fulton Fish Market at rush hour (4AM) and Daniel Boulud scoring $2500-a-pound white truffle fresh from Italy like it’s Colombia’s finest in the documentary "24 Hours, 24 Million Meals: Feeding New York" at the Museum of the City, free with admission. Sunday, 2PM.
