[FOODD} Not Going to Vendys or Le Fooding? Play Bocce and Eat Cake Balls

You don't have to go to the Vendys to have a good time.
The folks at the Vendys tell us that the awards are sold out this weekend, but here’s another fun food-truck event — prepster clothing label Tretorn is throwing a bocce party (similar to their badminton tournament earlier this summer) on Colonels Row at Governor’s Island this Saturday from noon till 5 p.m.
Last time, the ubiquitous Van Leeuwen truck made an appearance, and this time, the Le Gamin truck will be there, DOC Wine Shop will sell beer and wine, and the invite also mentions “the ladies on the bike serving cakeballs!” (Don’t ask us! But it sounds promising, doesn’t it?) No Ordinary Monkey, the crew known for its dim-sum-palace parties will supply the D.J.’s. More info here.
