7/10-11: Meatopia, Bastille Fest & Singalong Grease

Musts around town this weekend

MEATUP: Head to Governor’s Island for Meatopia, where 30 chefs abd BBQ teams will be preparing fragrant, finger-licking dishes as your beer gets refilled and bands play live. The Q fest is co-hosted by James Beard Award-winning food writer Josh Ozersky, pit master Robbie Richter of Fatty ’Cue and others. Sunday, 11:30AM.

YES OUI CAN: Vive la tradition! 60th Street’s annual Bastille Day Fest returns in anticipation of next Wednesday’s Gallic national holiday. What this means for you: An unforgettable summer afternoon of cheese, live can can, and plenty of other cross-the-pond delights that should help ease the sting of the whole World Cup thing. Sunday, 12PM.

THE WORD: Ladies and gentlemen, time to don your satin pink and black leather jackets, respectively: Paramount Pictures has honored Grease with a new restoration and unleashed it into theaters as a singalong. Brush up on the lyrics to “Summer Nights” and your hand-jive moves, and head to the AMC Loews Village; shows Saturday and Sunday at 7 and 9:45PM
