12/3: Chelsea Handler Live, Nicole Kidman & Aaron Eckhart Talk ‘Rabbit Hole'…

…and nearly 60 filmmakers create a loving tribute to Footloose

LADY KILLER: Multimedia comedy juggernaut Chelsea Handler—one of the only females in America to be nonplussed by being asked on a date by Justin Bieber—brings her stand-up tour to the Prudential Center in Newark. Despite having signed on to write a book on Handler’s own imprint, the comedienne’s dog, Chunk, will not be joining her. Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is at 8PM.

SMALL WONDERS: At first blush, John Cameron Mitchell—he of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Shortbus—may seem an odd choice to direct a moody film (Rabbit Hole, in theaters December 17, adapted from David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer-winning, Tony-nominated play) about a couple grieving their child. Mitchell is joined by his stars, Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart, to talk about the movie and why the story is so resonant for him, at a special presentation at the Apple Store Soho. 6PM.

EVERYBODY CUT: To create Our Footloose Remake, screening tonight at 92YTribeca, the 1984 gotta-bust-a-move-in-this-small-town classic that put Kevin Bacon on the map was divided up into 50+ different scenes, and each scene was handed to one of nearly 60 filmmakers all over the planet-each of whom did something decidedly different with it (animation! puppets!). 8PM.
