Shara Worden's outfit My Brightest Diamond plays Bowery Ballroom tonight.

AVANT, GUARDED: While we’re waiting to hear Shara Worden’s – aka My Brightest Diamond's – contribution to the upcoming David Byrne/Fatboy Slim collab “Here Lies Love” (which should drop in February – stay tuned), we’ll have to settle for hearing her crackling mélange of cabaret, opera, chamber music, and punk at Bowery Ballroom tonight. 8:30PM.

PLUCK OFF: DJANGO-A-GO-GO 2010 marks the birth, 100 years ago, of gypsy-jazz genius Django Reinhardt with two days of Joe’s Pub shows highlighting some of the best manouche stylists (and fusionists) strumming today, like Stephane Wrembel of the Django Experiment and prog-gypsy outfit Babik. It all kicks off at 8PM tonight.

LAST CALL: Williamsburg’s circus of wonders Monkey Town shutters this weekend, but not before two nights’ worth of an encore showing of Double “Dirty Dancing”: The Swayze-starring original, and the Bollywood remake “Holiday” right alongside. 7PM.
