Either way, oysters will be at the heart of the menu at the Grand Central Oyster Bar Winemaker Dinner tonight, chef Sandy Ingber’s six-course small-plate extravaganza paired with AAA wines from California and NZ. Also on hand: winemakers Mick Schroeter (Geyser Peak Winery) and Matt Mitchell (The Crossings), plus “Geography of Oysters” author Rowan Jacobsen. 6:30PM.
BYRNE, UNINTERRUPTED: Back in the fall, musician-multimedia artist-pied piper of hip David Byrne ignited a small but fierce crowd at Pete’s Candy Store’s bi-monthly lecture series Open City Dialogue with a lecture of sorts he calls “Creation in Reverse”, about how context determines the creative process. Now he brings this big idea to a bigger stage as “Creation in Reverse” comes to The Bell House. Get there early: Admission is free and s.r.o. 8PM.
