10/5: Hot P!ink at MSG

Plus 182 stories you didn’t know about NYC, and the best moules-frites deal around

PINK OF PERFECTION: We’ve always been in the tank for P!nk, who – in addition to her consistently badass vocals and MTV VMA acrobatics -- never phones in a faux-sexy Pussycat Dolls-style stage persona: She could snap you in two, and she’s not afraid to show it. She rocks out at MSG tonight, with another pair of kick-you-in-the-teeth popsters, Manchester’s Ting Tings, opening. 8PM.

MAP IT: Call it Schott’s NYC Miscellany: in “Inside the Apple: A Streetwise History of New York City” (Free Press), Michelle & James Nevius offer a walking-tour-ready crib sheet to New York City through 182 bite-sized pieces of history (is it true people once tried to anchor Zeppelins at the top of the Empire State Building?). They’ll discuss some favorite stories from and sign copies of the book at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, 6:30PM.

MOULES OF THE GAME: The people at the West Village casual-elegant Bar Blanc Bistro think you look hungry: Tonight – and every Monday – they serve up a heap of mussels done one of four ways (choose between a classic marinière, or coconut curry, smoked sausage and tomato versions), along with frites and a draft beer for just $18.
