MAPIt's hard to walk into McSorley's and not feel like you're in a history class. Even to the oldest locals, the Old Ale House's "We Were Here Before You Were Born" sign applies. Opened in 1854, New York City's oldest saloon has served up cold beers to everyone from Abe Lincoln to John Lennon. And depending on how long you stay at the former speak-easy, you might just strike up a conversation with one of them.
