With river breezes, kayak piers and a view one of the New World’s most famous rivers (sorry Mississippi and Amazon), Hudson River Park is an excellent place to spend the day taking in the sun. Not only do you have unobstructed views of New Jersey, you also have the run of the West Side, literally, and can adjust accordingly to snatch up the best rays. And when you’ve got your perfect tan, it’s only too easy to head over to the Meatpacking or Chelsea to dazzle ‘em after dark.
