What You're Doing Today, 11/15: Saturday Edition

Nerds talk about sex, Javits goes gay, and the Dude (what else?) abides

DUDE RANCH: There'll be bowling. There'll be white Russians. There'll be music by cover band Creedence Clearwater Revival Revival. It's going to be very dude when the Lebowski Fest takes Manhattan. 9PM Saturday, 7-11PM Sunday; our fuller coverage here.

WALK THE TALK: Thanks, Prop 8 protesters, but if you really want to support the gay community, head to this weekend's Gay Life Expo at the Javits Center, where 250+ gay-owned companies who'd very much like your business will be on hand. Also, there'll be showtunes, courtesy of the Broadway Boys. 12-6PM today, tomorrow.

GEEK SQUAD: Book-learnin' is way more fun with booze: That's the idea behind Galapagos' Nerd Nite Series, which tonight has "lecturers" giving short "talks" about hermaphroditism, the origins of typography (font fans in the house!), and the role of race in role-playing games. What, like D&D? You betcha. 8PM.
