On Sale Alert: All Points West

Perfect for those who can't make up their minds: The All Points West Festival returns to Liberty State Park for its second iteration this July, and tickets go on sale tomorrow. The fest is a little Lalapalooza circa 1995 (Tool headlines on Saturday), a little No Wave (so does My Bloody Valentine) and a little last year's iPod commercials (The Ting Tings and Chairlift also play sets). Frankly, with a kajillion acts appearing over three days you'd be hardpressed not to find something that would make you, your little sister, your older brother and your mom happy.

Friday, July 31, sees The Pharcyde, Q-Tip, MSTRKRFT, The Fleet Foxes, The National and The Beastie Boys. Saturday, along with the aforementioned headliners, you'd see Gogol Bordello, Neko Case, Arctic Monkeys, Kool Keith, Tokyo Police Club, Crystal Castles and St. Vincent. To top it all off Sunday Echo & the Bunnymen, MGMT, the Black Keys, Silversun Pick-Ups, Mogwai, and Janeane Garafalo all warm up the stage for Coldplay.

Three-day passes will run you $199 or you can go for single-day tickets for $89. This year the promoters have added free travel back and forth on the Hudson-Bergen light rail to get to and fro, which is a mixed blessing (but then, so is schlepping to Jersey City). The pre-sale starts at noon Wednesday here.
