Disney May Get “Lost” with Hulu

"Lost" fans may be able to get their fix online. Disney and Hulu are in discussions to bring the Mouse’s TV shows and movies to the popular online streaming service.

Hulu brings together a selection of videos from more than 130 content providers, including FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. Users can choose from more than 1000 current primetime TV shows including “The Simpsons,” “The Office,” and “Saturday Night Live.” An official announcement about the Disney addition could come in the next few days According to All Things Digital:

The arrangement will add Disney (DIS) programming–primarily television shows from ABC like “Lost,” although it will also include some of the company’s movies–to the joint venture between GE’s (GE) NBC and News Corp.’s (NWS) Fox. In return for giving Hulu exclusive access to some of its content, but not for some high-profile programming like ESPN, Disney will get an equity stake in the joint venture and seats on the company’s board.

Founded in March 2007, Hulu is co-owned by NBC Universal, News Corp. and Providence Equity Partners. It is operated independently by a dedicated management team with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Beijing.
