Revlon Run/Walk New York
Created in 1993 through the efforts of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Lilly Tartikoff, and Ronald O. Perelman, The EIF REVLON Run/Walk For Women has grown to become one of the nation’s largest 5K fundraising events. To date, the Run/Walks (LA/NY) have distributed nearly 50 million dollars for cancer research, counseling and outreach programs.

Skip Lunch Fight Hunger
Every day, thousands of children and their families go hungry in New York City. On May 6, skip lunch to fight hunger with City Harvest. Donate what you would normally spend on lunch to help feed hungry New Yorkers.

Natl. Multiple Sclerosis Society (NJ Chapter)
The National MS Bike Tour helps address challenges faced by those living with MS. The organization offers a variety of programs and services to help individuals affected with the illness.

National Puerto Rican Day Parade
The National Puerto Rican Day Parade, Inc. was established to create a national awareness and appreciation of Puerto Rican culture and its contribution to the culture and society of the United States. In addition, it promotes the study, improvement, and/or advancement of Puerto Rican culture and the arts.

Bronx Dominican Day Parade
The Dominican family festival kicks off a colorful celebration that runs along Gran Concourse Avenue in the Bronx. This all out parade showcases various floats that feature Dominican stars and dancers that move to the melodies of Merengue and Bachata. The event also offers attendees the opportunity to see skilled dancers that bring Quisqueya La Bella to the Big Apple.

Colombian Festival
Flushing Meadows Park is the scenario for a wonderful festival that celebrates the Independence of Colombia There is music, food, dance, beauty pageant queens, and plenty of yellow, blue, and red Colombian flags, especially at the festival site just south of the Unisphere. If there are clear skies for at least an hour, the park will get packed as folks spend the day BBQing and kicking it. The festival is always one of the most popular events held in Flushing Meadows, and the park is awash with Colombia's red, blue, and yellow colors.

New York Dominican Day Parade
2008 marked twenty fourth anniversary of the New York Dominican Parade. Established in 1982, the parade has become one of the major parades in New York in terms of attendance and color. The Dominican community is a dynamic and vital force that adds greatly to the cultural, social and economic growth and diversity of New York City. Dominicans have made their presence felt in a positive and significant way, being the fastest growing group and the second largest Hispanic group in the New York City Metropolitan area.

Hong Kong Dragon Boat Race Festival
HKDBF-NY, a multicultural celebration and sporting event, offers us the outreach into the Asian community. It has become the largest multi-cultural Festival in New York and the largest festival of its kind in the U.S. With more than 150 well-trained teams, involving more than 1,500 participants competing from across the U.S. and Canada, the festival takes place over two days in Flushing Meadows Park, featuring events for the entire family.

United Way Walk and Volunteer Festival
United Way of New York City creates, leads and supports strategic initiatives that address the root causes of critical human care problems in order to achieve measurable improvement in the lives of the city's most vulnerable residents and communities. Throughout their work, they partner with neighborhood agencies, government, business, foundations, and volunteers to build a better community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York Walk
Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City is a mentoring agency which matches children from all boroughs ages 7 to 17 with adult mentors 21 years or older, to spend 4 consecutive hours every other week for a minimum 1 year commitment.

New York Mexican Day parade
The New York Mexican Day Parade celebrates its eleventh year This event is a wonderful showcase of Mexican culture and tradition with vivid and colorful floats, folkloric dancers and Mariachis. A variety of different musical groups and beautiful, traditional costumes make their appearance. The Sunday Parade along Madison Avenue is the highlight of the Mexican Day Parade events. There is media coverage on Spanish television, radio and print. There is an impressive number of community contingencies, floats, marching bands and musical groups which provide a festive and lively mood to the parade.

Fair Media Council (Connection Day)
The Fair Media Council holds Connection Day in the month of October. Yearly the program includes new workshops, more than 100 media professionals and exhibitor opportunities for communications industry professionals.

Lupus Walk
Lupus is three times more common among African American women than among Caucasian women, and is also more common in women of Hispanic, Asian, and Native American descent. The number of people with lupus in the U.S. has been estimated to range from at least 270,000 to more than one million.

American Diabetes Association Walk STEP OUT
Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes is ADA's signature special events fund-raising campaign. With strong support from the business community including sponsorship and corporate teams, this event raises over $20 million to find a cure for diabetes and to support our mission.

Hispanic Day parade of New York WNJU
The Hispanic Day Parade of New York along Fifth Avenue is the highlight of the New York Hispanic Parade events. Parade participants number over 10,000 and parade spectators are in the thousands. There is extensive media coverage by way of live and delayed telecast, English and Spanish television, and live radio coverage. There is an impressive number of community contingencies, floats, marching bands and musical groups which provides a festive and lively mood to the parade.

Hispanic Day Parade of New Jersey
Hundreds of thousands of revelers are expected along the Hispanic Day parade route in North Hudson this October. Some 30 floats, 100,000 people and 250 groups representing 21 countries are expected. The parade starts in the north, at 79th Street and Bergenline, and heads south to 32nd Street. The nations -- from Argentina to Venezuela --- will be represented in alphabetical order, led by a marshal. Many groups raise funds and save money all year to pay for travel and lodging for the parade.
