In case you make the report into a series, you may want to include one of my NYC favorites: the Neue Galerie - Museum for German and Austrian Art located on 5th Ave/86th Street. The cafe (Cafe Sabarsky, Austrian Chef Kurt Gutenbrunner also has two other Austrian restaurants in town: Wallse and Blaue Gans) features authentic Viennese cakes, coffee specialties and Wiener Schnitzel and the book and design stores are outstanding.
