Tracie Strahan

Tracie Strahan joined News 4 New York in June 2007 as a reporter for “Today in New York,” the station’s morning newscast airing weekdays from 5-7AM.
On scene, Strahan has covered major stories in New York including the Deutsche Bank Fire, the midtown steam pipe explosion, and other breaking news throughout the tri-state area.
Prior to joining News 4 New York, Strahan served as a correspondent for CBS Newspath, which served all CBS stations nationwide with reports and breaking news. Before that, she worked as a news anchor for mtvU, a branch of MTV serving college campuses. Prior to that, she was a reporter/producer for WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana. Strahan began her career in broadcasting as a news production assistant for 1010 WINS radio in New York while still in college.
In 2006, Strahan was honored with a Michele Clark Fellowship from RTNDA which recognizes the achievements of young, promising, minority professionals in television or radio news.
Strahan graduated from Syracuse University in 1999 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Strahan volunteers with the High School for Leadership and Public Service in New York City, which was founded by alumni from Syracuse University.
Strahan is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the nation’s largest African American Sorority, and is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
