Fairway Market's Pasta With Raw Tomato Sauce, Basil and Tuna

8 cups ripe tomaotes such as Kumatoes, chopped
1/2 lb pasta (penne or ziti)
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, sliced paper thin
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1 can high-quality tuna in olive oil, drained
1 generous cup basil
Salt to taste
 
Chop tomatoes and place in a large bowl with olive oil, pepper flakes, garlic and tuna. Mix until just blended.
 
Boil pasta as directed. When the pasta is al dente, drain and add to bowl while still hot. Do not rinse pasta. Mix and add the basil and salt.
