Fairway Market's BBQ Wings

Sara cooks up some gameday wings with Dan and Mitchell of Fairway.
 
For rub:
pinch salt/pepper
1/2 tbsp smoke chili,
1/2 mesquite bbq
1/2 paprika,
1/2 cayenne,
1/2 mustard
 
For sauce:
1/2lb red onions, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp dark brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 red wine vinegar
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 can smoke chipotle peppers
2 28oz cans plum tomatoes
1 cup ketchup
 
Rub wings with spice rub. Cook on grill or stovetop until grill marks appear. Move to large cookie sheet. Baste with bbq sauce. Cook at 400 degrees for 15 min. Remove, and baste again. Cook additional 5 min. Remove, and baste again. Cook additional 5 min.
 
Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
