Wake up with Weekend Today in New York and use your cell phone to play trivia from the comfort from your own home.

Why sleep in on Saturday mornings when could impress your friends -- and all of the Tri-state -- instead?

"Weekend Today in New York" hosts a trivia contest every Saturday morning where viewers compete against thousands of trivia buffs across the area without even leaving home. All you need is your cell phone to play.

Tune into the show on WNBC-4 at 9 a.m. for the phone number to call. Once you dial the number you'll be connected to the game, which is hosted by MegaPhone, a phone-controlled, real-time, multi-player collaborative gaming platform for the public.

When the game starts, the questions will pop up on the screen, and you have 15 seconds to choose the right answer by pressing 1, 2, or 3 on your phone's keypad.

The sooner you answer, the more points you'll get.

You can also see real-time feedback on screen, which automatically updates the number of responses the program receives on the screen.

Your normal calling and data rates apply, but the number is toll free. If you have free nights and weekend plans, you're good to go!

This weekend's theme is college trivia, so put on your thinking cap and join "Weekend Today in New York."

    Good luck!
