Angry Newlyweds Win Fight Over Photo Fraud

Celebration Studios not celebrating anymore

Christmas is coming early for some 3,000 people who have been fighting to get their wedding photographs and videos from a company that closed in January.

A judge on Wednesday rejected a settlement plan with Celebration studios and ordered the state to start distributing the photos and videos by Nov. 21.

The photos and videos were impounded after the state Consumer Affairs Division filed a consumer fraud lawsuit against the company and its owner.

The judge rejected the deal that required couples who had received wedding services and credit card charge-backs when their products weren't finished and delivered to contribute to an escrow fund. The fund would have compensated photographers and videographers who weren't paid and consumers who paid Celebration but got no services.

Celebration Studios had offices in Manhattan and Philadelphia.
