Russian soccer fans were told by the government to drink whisky in order to fend off swine flu. Those who planned to travel to Wales for the World Cup qualifier next month were told by the government to "drink a lot of Welsh whisky as a form of disinfection" and that it "should cure all symptoms" of the flu.
