New York City may be turning into Transylvania, the land of vampires.

Police are looking for the public's help in nabbing a man they say attempted to rob a livery cab -- and then repeatedly bit the cabbie on the neck and elsewhere when he wouldn’t fork over the cash.

Cops say the Dracula-wannabe got into the taxi at East 130 Street in Manhattan on March 13 at around 3:05 a.m. and directed the driver to an address near Bronx Community College.

At the destination, the suspect allegedly pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded the cabbie’s money.

When the driver refused, the reputed bloodsucker apparently turned violent, biting the victim approximately five times on the neck, arm and back – before fleeing in an unknown direction, without the money.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his thirties, 6’0’’, wearing a black leather jacket. And if Hollywood movies can be believed, he may have fangs.

Anyone with information is asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
