An Oklahoma man accidentally shot himself in the groin, and getting help made matters worse.
Tavares Donnell Colbert, a convicted drug dealer, told officers he intended to sell a gun at a convenience store after buying it in Kansas, NewsOK.com reported.
While testing the gun to ensure it functioned properly, the 36-year-old shot his groin, and immediately drove to the hospital, police said he told them.
He was arrested for illegal firearm possession after treatment because he wasn’t allowed to carry a gun as a convicted felon, the paper reported.
