Please, Stop Making Kanye ‘Interrupt' You

Excuse us

Enough's enough with the Kanye interrupting you gag. Really. The tactic of having Kanye "interrupt" your Web site, Wordpress, Tmblr, crappy blog, has got to stop. It honestly wasn't that funny in the first place.

The game goes like this: Somebody installs a giant Kanye interruption message (see above) on his site and then passes the kanyelicio.us link around with some "witty" statement like, "Hey Kanye interrupted my blog." Thereby bringing the attention-whoring full circle to the point where everyone is crying out for a slice of limelight, saying, "Hey look at me and my website!"

Its doubtful that many of the jokesters see the irony, but there it is. These are the exact sort of people who would jump on stage to draw more attention to themselves if they were given a chance, at least Kanye had something more to say than "look at me." (You have to admit, Beyonce's video was better.)

It's a dead gag. Please stop it and invent some other way to con people into clicking on your blog -- Did you know you could add bacon to it? Go ahead, make a bacon joke; it's your right as an American to beat a joke until it is so dead that you are beating the joke's children to death. (Oh, and while we are at it, can we stop "Keep f--ing that chicken" before it starts?)
