It was the end of the road for the South Shore All Stars. The team lost to Texas 4-1 in the world series' semifinals.

The team earned the right to be in the U.S. semi-final game by beating a squad from Urbandale, Iowa on Monday 8 to 3.

Texas will head to the World Series, which is already taking place with other international squads.

On Wednesday Mexico beat Japan 6-0 to advance in the competition.

In 2006, the Mid-Island All-Star squad from Staten Island reached the World Series. But they lost three straight games and eliminated.
